Actual Birthday Dinner

For her actual birthday dinner, Maya had one of her favorite meals: salmon with lots of shoyu and rice. Of course, she got to blow out her birthday candle again after dinner. We are almost finished with her anpanman cake. Sometimes, she insists on sitting in what she calls her "baby chair" and this evening was one of those nights.

Maya Turns 2

For her second birthday, as part of her gift, we gave her 2 goldfish. She named them Aidan and Fruit and she loves to feed them. She has been asking for "Anpanman Cake" (her favorite cartoon character from Japan) for weeks, so we made her a cake and cookies. Of course she loved the cake, and asks to eat it every time I ask her what she wants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. She had so much fun with her cousins running around and laughing. It was a very good birthday.

The images are bad because it was dark...we went out to eat Yakiniku and Maya did quite well eating rice with her ohashi.

St. Patrick's Day

Maya's BFFs, Marley and Olivia. She is moving to her pre-school in 2 weeks and is getting very sad about leaving them. When I tell her that she's starting her new school, she says "Marley and Olivia coming too."
