On the Subway

"power power" from お母さんといっしょ

It is difficult to hear the TV but Maya is dancing to a dance from a Japanese TV Show. For those of you who know the show, it's the last dance of the show where all the kids dance with the 体操のお兄さん. I was carrying Jun while filming this so most of what you hear is him crying. She is also wearing her X-mas Dress.

First Manicure

Maya had her first manicure at the nail salon. She sat there very quietly and even let her nails dry without messing it up.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Maya and her friends from school dancing with their favorite music teacher. She is the one in a black dress with purple skinny jeans in the middle.

Hospital Stay

When Jun was 5 weeks old, he had a fever and had to spend 3 nights in the hospital to rule out any serious illnesses. It turned out to be just a virus, but the poor guy had to go through number of tests, including a spinal tap. The huge bandage on his arm is from the nurses pricking his arm many many times to try to find a vein for the IV.

Halloween

Maya had 2 costumes for Halloween. She was Dora for her school party and then Fairy Princess for trick or treating

Mike's 34th Birthday

We had a picnic in Prospect Park for Mike's birthday. It was a beautiful day.

Potty Training

Maya has been doing pretty well with potty training. We hear she goes on the toilet at school, but not so much at home. When she does go at home, she insists on sitting on the toilet for a loooong time reading many many books. Here, she is reading about Dora using the toilet.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

We had a great few days off for Labor Day weekend. We recently moved into a new apartment, and did a lot of unpacking, but also went to the zoo, playground, and saw some of Maya's friends.
